John died peacefully in Winchester on 17th February 2018. Much loved and respected by his family, friends and colleagues. We are planning his cremation for close family but would be really pleased if wider family and friends were able to join us on 16th April in Oxford to celebrate his life. We would like the focus to be on all that John did and meant to all of his friends and relations and feel that it is an occasion for wearing bright colours and/or those things that John would have connected to his interest in banking, rowing, sailing, music and opera.

Because John enjoyed a good story we would be particularly pleased to hear how he supported you, worked with you, laughed with you etc. We would welcome it if you would like, please, to contribute a story.
